I wanted to make an improved version of the previous incarnations of the HEROES Symbol that were designed based on if that symbol was actually helical, however, it seems I only take a stab at it every 6 months. I thought I'd post it here even if it doesn't become part of the nbc HEROES Fan Art Gallery. This version was my interpretation of the HEROES Symbol if its proportions were generally based on the DNA B form (and I've managed to only include the rfl in this post - I know, kinda surprising... ):

QUOTE (Begemot Geroi @ Sep 13 2007, 06:18 PM) I like the finished product in the lower right hand corner. Interesting take on it, trying to bring the symbol back to genetics and all. Yeah, I kinda like how it turned out, too. Just fyi- the bottom views, from left to right, could be thought of as the front and right orthographic views, respectively, of the DNA B form, with the upper right view as a top right isometric view. I made the helical HEROES Symbols because the brand for Isaac's 9thWonders comic books is Helix Comics, with the HEROES Symbol as the logo. Since I hadn't seen that symbol made as a 3D model with a 2D projection, I wanted to see what it could look like.

Thanks, I appreciate the comments! Do ya have any suggestions for improvement, or ideas for something new to create? QUOTE (kitty @ Sep 19 2007, 06:49 PM) OMG, it's like two mega evolved people mating! ahahahahahahah Yikes! That wasn't exactly the impression for which I was aimin'... QUOTE (theJollity @ Sep 19 2007, 11:46 PM) Wow! I haven't studied genetics since the 9th grade, but I do like this. I particularly like the bottom left... because the blue bit actually looks like the Helix, and then it's all cool with the black bit added to it. Look how intelligible I am! It's amazin'; coming from an intelligible one such as you, that's cool to read! QUOTE What program did you use to make these? What? Program?!? (Or, what program?!?) Would you believe it if I told ya that, armed with some fingerpaint, sidewalk chalk, a Sharpie, and a #2 pencil, a person could easily create something like this? [htr] However, with only such options available, that person wouldn't be me, though...
