And, while I was linking her above, I checked out Meg’s latest project, “Dumped“. Go look, it’s awesome. (And if you check out the rest of her site, you may see some people you recognize. Just sayin’.)
The moment is here: you can now order your 2009 Hot Blogger Calendars!
Each calendar is $12 (+ small shipping fee). Just one dollar for each blogger. There’s no better deal on the internet. And a portion of proceeds to go to charity. Look at you: you’re not just interested in hotness - you’re a philanthropist, too. That’s pretty darn hot.
*Calendars will begin shipping out in mid-November!*
As we’re compiling everyone’s photos and posts from the Oct. 5 shoot, we have to again give massive amounts of gratitude and awe to photographers Bill Wadman and Meg Wachter and makeup artist Jillian Villafane for artistic, professional work creating stunning images that we can’t waitto share with you.
Our remaining Hot Bloggers have their shoots underway nationwide now, and we’re just jealous that we can’t ship everyone around to every single shoot to share in the fun!
This weekend, watch for behind-the-scenes videos we took with the awesome little RCA Small Wonder cameras we had at the shoots. We were able to capture everything from Jane’s very first shot of tequila, to post-shoot model interviews, and everything in between. But until then, here’s a little directory to help you see what being there was like!
We’ve uploaded more footage from the Hot Blogger Calendar shoot this past weekend! Our Small Wonder camcorders were great to have on hand at the shoot.
Here’s a little sneak peek at the goings-on behind-the-scenes this past Sunday at the calendar photo shoot (used an RCA Small Wonder to video this!).
You’ll notice two of the hot bloggers, Peter and Britt, steaming up your screen, along with our make-up artist, Jillian Villafane, our photographers, Bill Wadman and Meg Wachter, and friends and family who came along for the shoot.
The Hot Blogger Calendar shoot has wrapped. It was, in a word, amazing.
11 of the 24 bloggers were able to make it to NYC from all over the country… California. Florida. Massachusetts. Louisiana. South Carolina. Maryland. And, of course, New York.
And at this point, I think a big thank you is in order to the people who voted these bloggers into the calendar. What an incredibly phenomenal group of people. They are, quite frankly, teh awesomeness.
Between the actual shoot and the get-to-know-each-other dinner the night before, we had the best time.
Our photographers, Bill Wadman and Meg Wachter, were so wonderful. They put everyone at ease, and really took the time to capture each blogger’s personality in the photos. No easy feat when there are 11 subjects to shoot in a 9 hour period (including a lunch break!).
And our make-up artist Jillian Villafane made sure everyone was camera-ready and looking fierce.
And girls, we love it. And neither of us is a “Month”, so maybe we should be posting on your site. But it made us wonder. Should our Months have to justify themselves? No. But do they want to? We’re not sure!
So, if any of the “Months” want to do a NQHEC-style vindication post, we’ll be happy to post it.
(And if you feel it’s enough to revel in your HBCness, we understand. We’d do the same. There would be a chaise longue involved, and someone feeding us grapes. As we’re sure it is for you.)
