David Tennant named greenest celeb

David Tennant has been named the greenest star on the planet at Playhouse Disney's Playing For The Planet Awards.

Members of the UK public voted the Doctor Who actor their favourite eco-friendly celebrity from a shortlist that included Sienna Miller, Lily Allen, Madonna and Johnny Depp.

Tennant recently swapped his Skoda for a hybrid car.

Awards judge Peter Duncan is quoted by Metro as saying: "I am delighted that David Tennant has won the greenest star award - he's a great role model for kids everywhere and clearly is as passionate at saving the planet as his character The Doctor."
